Kellan To Strip Down For Calvin Klein Underwear Ads

Over the past dozen months or so, Twilighters have made it abundantly clear that they can’t get enough of the saga’s stars. Now, it seems, they’re about to see a whole lot more of Kellan Lutz.

The 24-year-old actor, known to “Twilight” fans worldwide as the lovable Emmett Cullen, has signed a contract with fashion giant Calvin Klein to become the brand’s newest underwear model.

In addition to being the first corporate-spokesman assignment among the “Twilight” cast (although RPattz does love Coca-Cola!), Lutz’s new gig is especially noteworthy for the cultural significance of Calvin Klein undies. Hollywood stars including Ashton Kutcher, Djimon Hounsou and Antonio Sabato Jr. have all spent time modeling the company’s wares. Most notably, a rapper by the name of “Marky” Mark Wahlberg signed on to be CK’s underwear spokesman in the early ’90s and spent the next few years appearing worldwide pairing his abs with the company’s tighty-whities. Some have credited the ads as a step in Wahlberg’s transition into the A-list, Oscar-nominated star he is today.

According to Fox News, Lutz will be featured in a “very similar” ad campaign to the one that made Wahlberg a household name. “He’s going to be their new Mark Wahlberg,” an “insider” told the site. “Kellan has been signed to Calvin Klein for a huge campaign that will feature him in his skivvies all over billboards and in magazines.”

MTV News reached out for comment to Lutz’s representative but, as of press time, had not received confirmation.

The actor, whose career prior to “Twilight” consisted of appearances on shows like “Heroes,” “CSI” and “The Comeback,” as well as recurring roles on “90210″ and “Generation Kill,” has expressed an interest in becoming a Wahlberg-like action star in the years to come.
