It was an accident on the set of Elipse and quite funny to me.
Kellan Lutz doesn’t know his own strength! The Twilight hottie accidentally injured his onscreen brother, Jackson Rathbone, while shooting a scene for Eclipse last September!
“Jackson got punched in the head by Kellan, of all people!” Nikki Reed, who plays the boys’ onscreen sister, Rosalie Hale, said during a live chat with co-stars Bryce Dallas Howard and Julia Jones April 23. “They were doing this fight scene and Kellan accidentally took a swing at Jackson; his timing was off and Jackson went to the hospital!” The 21-year-old actress added of her hunky co-star, who plays Emmett, the biggest and brawniest of the Cullen vampires, “I would NOT want to get punched by Kellan!”
A rep for Summit Entertainment acknowledged 25-year-old Jackson’s (who plays vamp Jasper Hale) injury last year, saying, “Actor Jackson Rathbone of the Twilight Saga movies was slightly injured yesterday during a fight scene rehearsal. As a precaution, he was driven to the hospital and checked out by a doctor. He’s fine and is back at work on the set of Eclipse.”
Yeah, merely a flesh wound. Vampires should be used to that, no?
Still, we’re with Nikki! We wouldn’t want to be punched by Kellan, 25, either! We’d much rather ogle those rippling muscles than feel their force!

“Deathgames.” The title alone summons up awesome mental images, right? The title bubbled out of the trades last week as an upcoming project with “Twilight” star Kellan Lutz and “Iron Man 2″ star Samuel L. Jackson in late-stage talks to headline. Intrigued by the premise — Jackson kidnaps Lutz and forces him to fight in a modern-day gladiator arena — I put in a call to Mike Callaghan, who is producing with Motion Picture Corporation of America, for additional details.
“Essentially the idea is, what if you had ‘Gladiator’ set in the present with modern-day technology,” Callaghan explained. “You’ve got Sam Jackson essentially playing the Caesar who rules over an arena where people fight to the death. And Kellan plays our gladiator, who enters the film as someone that was kidnapped and rises through the ranks to become the head gladiator, the prized fighter.” Read the full article »

Twilight hunk Kellan Lutz took off his shirt (bless him!) and got wet (sexy!) for a very steamy photo shoot featured in the latest issue of Interview Magazine (more sexy pictures below). The 25 year-old actor claims he is one of the “good boys” and doesn’t understand why we think he is absolutely delicious (look at these pictures!!).
Here are some highlights from Kellan Lutz’s interview:
On growing up: “I have a lot of older brothers who messed up in different ways in my mother’s eyes. So I learned from all of their mistakes… I always tried to make it a goal to relieve some of the stress my mother went through. I applied myself to school very diligently. I wanted to go out of state so I wouldn’t have to depend on my mother. And L.A., where my father lived, seemed to call to me.”
On being labeled a sex symbol: “It’s funny when people say you have sex appeal or call you the next Brad Pitt… Why? Because I played a vampire in a movie? It’s all very unearned,” he says. “If I had the best freaking abs in the world or if I looked like Brad Pitt does in Fight Club, then cool, but I’m not starving myself. I eat what I want… I don’t get it, but I appreciate it.”

Twilight” actor Kellan Lutz is the newest recruit in “War of the Gods,” the upcoming Greek mythology epic from director Tarsem Singh (“The Fall”).
Lutz has earned the role of Poseidon, the Greek god that rules over the seas, according to Variety. He joins an impressive cast list that includes Henry Cavill (“The Tudors”) as the heroic Theseus, Mickey Rourke (“Iron Man 2?) as the ruthless King Hyperion and Freida Pinto (“Slumdog Millionaire”) as Phaedra, an oracle priestess.
“War of the Gods” is a swords-and-sandals epic centered on mortal soldiers caught in a war between the eternal Greek gods and the evil Titans, with the fate of mankind hanging in the balance. Production is scheduled to begin in April based on a screenplay written by Jason Keller.
Lutz is no stranger to fantasy fare, thanks to his beloved “Twilight” role of Emmett Cullen, one of the many foster siblings of Robert Pattinson’s character. The actor was also a reported leading contender for the title role in director Marcus Nispel’s “Conan,” though he ultimately lost the part to Jason Momoa (“Stargate: Atlantis”). Lutz will next be seen in the upcoming “Nightmare on Elm Street” revival.
“War of the Gods” is the latest in a string of movies dealing with Greek mythology. Director Chris Columbus’ “Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief” debuted in February to positive reviews and solid box-office success, while Louis Leterrier’s “Clash of the Titans” remake will land in both regular and 3-D theaters on April 2.
